Networking Lab (Windows Server 2025)

Overview

Built a hands-on networking lab on Windows Server 2025 to demonstrate DNS administration, DHCP configuration, Windows Firewall management, and CLI-based network troubleshooting, with PowerShell automation for common network operations.

Highlights

• Configured DHCP scopes, reservations, exclusions and backups via PowerShell and netsh
• Created forward/reverse DNS zones, A/PTR/CNAME records, and enabled zone scavenging
• Deployed inbound/outbound firewall rules and diagnosed issues with ping, tracert, pathping, netstat and arp
• Wrote PowerShell scripts for bulk port testing, DHCP scope reporting, and batch DNS resolution
